Fiber Arts

Combining step by step instruction with intuitive technique, our fiber arts program encourages artists to engage with a new range of materials. Translating drawn designs into needlepoint gives artists the opportunity to develop a new form of mark-making. Knitting and weaving options engage fine motor skills while developing confidence in new processes.

Most project result in saleable products, like unique needlepointed pillows and hand-knit winter outerwear.

Fiber arts at CCW includes work in the following areas:

  • finger knitting and loom knitting

  • needlepoint

  • Amish tufted embrodiery

  • frame weaving
