Wood Working

Our woodshop was created by artist and educator Sherina Poorman, creator of the Build-it Bus. In her mission to create accessable options for our participants, she developed a variety of tools adapted for hand-powered use. A bicycle operated lathe and band sander round out a diverse selection of options for building.

The woodshop offers opportunities to work on functional and sculptural pieces. In addition to those mentioned above, the woodshop has a wide variety of tools and wood for artists to work with, as well as an experienced woodworker instructor.

*woodworking is only available in the Wynnewood studio
